What the hell is up with the weather?
I swear when I was growing up, March to May was spring, June to August was summer, September to November was fall and then December to February was winter. I know it's been bad in years prior, but seriously, it's just barely October and it's snowed two or three times already. I'm not going to say that I don't completely hate snow, but I like fall, spring and summer too. The issue is that people complain that summer is so hot when I believe the temperature is like 100 degrees. The only issue is it doesn't last very long and when it's over, it is almost over night that it becomes winter. I have friends saying the snow should get here sooner, but the only problem with that is that once the snow comes, it doesn't leave Utah until at least May.
I will try to be as unbiased about this. The positive things about winter:
- cooler weather
- pretty landscapes
- playing in the snow
- hot cocoa
- snow sports
- Christmas
The positive things about summer:
- warmer weather
- long break from school
- picnics
- any sport aside from snow sports
- vacations
- late nights hanging out in parking lots
- drive in movies
- lighter clothes
- more outdoors
- barbecues
The cons of winter:
- cold
- sickness
- layers of clothing
- scraping cars
- shoveling walks
- black ice
- fatal crashes
- not as much outdoors time
- only snow sports
The cons of summer:
- hot
- no snow sports
- sunburns
I'm sorry if some of you saw this as biased, but honestly, snow is good for certain things. In the summer, anything can be done, except for snow stuff. However, you can have hot cocoa, go to cooler places such as mountains or beaches any time during summer. If you're hot, then jump into a pool, lake or run through sprinklers. In the winter, you can't go swimming or go to the beach. You can't really go anywhere comfortable except for inside buildings. I'm sorry but I enjoy the outdoors. I love to hike and travel.
